Borage officinalis and Calamintha nepetoides

Borage is an annual herb with beautiful blue edible flowers that bees love. In Not Quite Happily Ever After when Sara and Toby are looking at the bees on the Borage plants she mentions that they seem to like the Calamintha even more. Borage is easy to grow from seed sown right in the garden, while Calamintha is usaually planted out as small plants. Calamintha is a perennial shrublet that I usually cut to the ground in early winter, while letting the seed ripen on a few borage plants will give you new plants volunteering in the garden the next year.
